Taurus Dogs Sign

By Anna Lynn Sibal

The Taurus dog has long been accused of being lazy creatures, probably because of their love for all the fine things that come to the life of a dog. Good food to munch on, a warm and cozy corner to relax in, a soft and fuzzy blanket to snuggle into – these are just some of the lovely things that a Taurus dog loves with all of his doggy heart. Music in particular is something that the Taurus dog adores and the Taurus dog is known to howl along to a favorite tune whenever this tune goes playing on the radio.

But for all that the Taurus dog is a creature of comfort, he is also very gentle. Do not misjudge his eyes. They are very keen and watchful. Taurus dogs are especially great with children. The kiddies can pull at his tail and ears and take all the abuse that children usually heap upon their pets, but his languor belies his protectiveness over his charges. He can be quite fierce if his charges are threatened or hurt by others.

Children are not the only ones to which the Taurus dog can be attached. The Taurus dog is a very loyal dog and is highly likely to become attached to his master. He will follow you around the house and rest at your feet just to keep you company whether you want his company or not. You will find yourself missing his quiet but reassuring presence whenever he is not around.

While the Taurus dog is not given to much exertion, he can be quite territorial and will not hesitate to do more than just growl at any dog that challenges his turf. His turf is his own and he will not share it with any other dog, unless it is another pet of his master’s.

The year 2007 is very conducive to the health of the Taurus dog. He will generally be fine and will not need any visits to the vet other than routine checkups. You may want to pay a keener attention to his ears when the cold months set in, however, because he is prone to ear infections.

The summer months will see your normally sluggish Taurus dog display extra energy and exuberance. He may even get a little frisky. He will love socializing with other dogs this summer, and perhaps he may form very likeable relationships that can result in puppies. Towards the end of summer, he will return to his lazy and lethargic ways, so much that you may need to rouse him occasionally just so he would get some exercise.

When the winter comes, your Taurus dog may feel too cooped in while inside the house. He will want to be let out every once in a while. If the weather allows it, let him go out and bounding wherever he pleases. He is likely to return to seek his warm corner after a short while. Just make sure that he is comfortable when he comes back home.
