Scorpio Cats Sign

By Anna Lynn Sibal

Old wives’ takes have it that the cats that were considered as favored pets of the witches of old were born under the sign of Scorpio. These Scorpio cats, especially those with black fur and green eyes, are beautiful and mysterious creatures with a knack for the uncanny. They seem to have the ability to read people’s minds. They are fond of staring at people, watching them so closely that it can feel eerie at times. In times of disaster or when trouble befalls the household where the Scorpio cat lives, the first one who would seem to sense it is the Scorpio cat. Typically, the Scorpio cat is also the first one to show up at the spot where something bad happened.

The Scorpio cat is an absolute loner. She does not like being touched, much less cuddled. Her owner will never ever find her Scorpio cat jumping on her lap or even rubbing at her leg. The Scorpio cat, loner that she is, prefers her own company and finds it hard to form intimate bonds with the people in the household she lives in, or even with the other pets in the house. She is very aloof and standoffish. If ever you catch her at home, she will often stay in her own corner and ignore everyone around her. She will spit and swipe at anyone who dares to intrude on her solitude. The Scorpio cat is extremely unapproachable.

Although it is sad to say this, but the Scorpio cat often considers her human owner as merely a source of food and warmth. It is rare to find her within the confines of the house. Rather than be cooped inside, she would rather explore the world out of doors. There is a wild streak in the nature of the Scorpio cat, a streak that cannot be tamed. Proud and obstinate, the Scorpio cat does not appreciate being forced upon. She will do everything her way or no way at all.

Wanderer that the Scorpio cat is, this summer will find this vagabond surprising her human companions at home by staying indoors. The previous months have seen her frolicking about, as per usual, picking fights with the cats in the neighborhood that had the misfortune of being in her way. But there is something else. It is highly possible that in the late spring and early summer months, the oblivious and aloof Scorpio cat may have been bitten by the love bug and pursued her urges. Therefore, she is staying at home to foist upon her human companions her litter. The Scorpio cat, however, is not one to be attached and so she will leave those kittens as soon as she could to resume her wandering ways.

Inasmuch that the Scorpio cat always goes off wandering, she always returns home because home is something familiar, something she knows she will always have a place in. She will try to reassert her place in the household during the winter months, especially if her owners have chosen to add a new pet to the family.
