Leo Cats Sign

By Anna Lynn Sibal

The Leo cat, born under the sign of her brother the Lion, is the queen of cats. This is a fact that she knows only too well. She would spend time sitting by herself on her favorite chair or on the windowsill or even in her own basket, and to approach her would be to intrude on a royal presence. The Leo cat is not a snobbish, nor is she an arrogant cat. On the contrary, she is quite friendly and gregarious by nature. She does not need to work at being queenly because she just is.

But just like any royal personage, the Leo cat does not take kindly to her authority being challenged. She will grant her royal favor to anyone who wishes it, but to treat her with disrespect or hostility will only result in a swipe of her sharp claws on her challenger’s face. The Leo cat is a gracious cat as long as the limits of her patience are not tested. She is a proud cat and oftentimes quite stubborn. It will take a lot of cajoling to get her to comply with something she does not want to do.

The Leo cat is a beautiful feline, and it is something she certainly knows for sure. A truly vain creature, the Leo cat would be found spending an inordinate amount of her time preening and cleaning up her body. Her owner would find adorning her with ribbons or dressing her up in pretty kitty clothes very hard to resist. Cat shows are also venues that would prove hardly strange for the Leo cat.

True to her gregarious nature, the Leo cat can be very loving and playful as long as she is sure that her owner’s attention is hers alone. If there are other cats within the household, she would always assert her right to be the first in her owner’s care and affection. Woe to the other lesser felines that would dare contest this right, although few actually dare to do so anyhow. Once she is satisfied with the care and attention she has received, she would generously allow her owner to turn to the other pets in the household.

This summer might prove to be an adventurous season for the Leo cat in the matters of the heart. Tomcats appreciate a she-cat who can be their equal, and the Leo she-cat can be very much up to the task if she sets her mind to it. Prepare for loud courtships at night, and perhaps some violent scrambles for the right to be called this feline queen’s consort. It is almost certain that the Leo queen-cat would enjoy these duels for her regard.

The fall months would also find the Leo cat skulking about her kingdom, inspecting her troops and territory. She can be gone for hours at an end, but when she returns, she will expect food and a warm cushion waiting for her.

Come winter, all the jaunts of the summer and autumn months may take their toll on the Leo queen-cat’s body, and so her health may be a prime concern at this time.
