Aries Cats Sign

By Anna Lynn Sibal

One of the traits that make the Aries cat stand out is her capriciousness with regards attention. She either wants it or hates it, and she will let you know exactly what she wants with it at any given time. There will be times that an Aries cat will act like a loner and will show that she prefers her solitude. At those times, she is prone to stalking off, returning only when she is hungry and wants to be fed. Sometimes, she does not even show up during mealtimes. When the Aries cat desires solitude, she darn well will not appreciate your intruding upon her.

However, if attention is what the Aries cat wants to get from you, she will let you know by constantly rubbing her body at your ankles or hopping onto your lap. Pushing her off or letting her down from your lap might not be a good idea at this time. She will only jump back in. The Aries cat does not take rejection lightly, so if you continue rebuffing her when she wants you to pay attention to her, she will become stubborn and disobedient, if not outright rebellious. Beware an Aries cat scorned!

But if you do give in to her and give her the pampering that she wants, she will display her gratitude lavishly. She can be very affectionate and entertaining if you choose to answer to her need for some tender and loving care.

The Aries cat is a snob. She will not suffer to be in the company of other cats or other pets if she does not like them. She can be very territorial too, and she will not hesitate to defend it if needed. The Aries cat will warn off her enemies from trespassing at first by hissing and then by growling. If claws need to be extended and swiped, and if fur needs to fly, she will not hesitate to take action.

This summer, the Aries cat may seem fey and tricksy. Do not worry too much if she stalks off out of the blue and does not make her regal appearance at mealtimes. She will show up when it pleases her to return, and she might even respond to your scolding with a disdainful meow.

Come autumn, however, the usual snobbishness and regal behavior that is so common among Aries cats may be replaced by a certain level of flirtatiousness. She will demand your attention all the time and woe to you if you do not give her what she wants. The Aries cat may display a certain tendency to be more fierce and argumentative this season, so expect your otherwise dainty princess to get into more than her fair share of fights with other cats, especially if these cats dared to encroach on her territory.

All the aggression that your Aries cat may have displayed during the summer and autumn months will eventually wane when winter sets in. All your Aries cat will want to do by this time is to lay by the heater or on your lap and purr the time away, preferably with your fingers in her fur.
