Aquarius Cats Sign

By Anna Lynn Sibal

Of all the types of domestic felines out there, the Aquarius cat is probably the one that tends to behave with the most eccentricity. She can be strange, and at times un-catlike. For one, she does not like eating fish. It would not be surprising to catch her fighting with the dogs in the house for their dog biscuits instead of munching on her cat food. Whatever fights she may have with the dogs, however, are friendly fights. The Aquarius cat tends to hang out more often with the dogs than with the other cats in the neighborhood. And not just with dogs but also with the birds.

Most people know cats to hate water, but cats born under the sign of Aquarius actually adore water. This is one creature that is true to her guardian, which is the Water Bearer. Splash water at her, no matter how cold, and she will not complain. Instead, she will purr with delight and play until her body is soaked and dripping. This is one cat who loves, even revels in, water and bathing.

Eccentricity and love for water are not the only traits that stand out in the nature of the Aquarius cat. The Aquarius cat is also very unsociable. She is not really friendly and tends to keep to herself. The Aquarius cat prefers to be left alone and she would not bother anyone unless they bother her. Her owner should be suspicious if her Aquarius cat suddenly becomes affectionate, rubbing her body against her legs and jumping on her lap. It only means that she wants something bad enough to leave her solitude.

Hand in hand with her being a loner, the Aquarius cat is also very temperamental and moody. When her solitude is disturbed or when something she wants is not given to her, she can throw temper tantrums and sulk in a very loud manner. There will be no silence in the household until the Aquarius cat’s fur is soothed. Otherwise, she is a very quiet cat, very ladylike, very prim and proper.

The Aquarius cat loves her food to a fault and sometimes it feels nice to just indulge her. However, her owner should try to curb her appetite as much as possible this year. Too much of a good thing can be bad, and she should not be fed too much of those nice delicacies that she so adores. It might end up giving her stomach problems and unnecessary trips to the vet. Coaxing her to go out and spend some time out of doors instead of being cooped up in a corner can do a lot for her health as well.

When the weather permits, it may be nice to take the Aquarius cat for a long weekend away from the city. Lots of fresh air and warm sunshine will do her good, and even her owner will be glad for the chance to be away. She might meet new cats in the neighborhood and this unfriendly feline may learn to get out of her shell.
